16 cages, that sounds like a lot of mice. :-)

#1 It´s about 50 mice. It´s half of what I used to have. And it´s going down. I had a couple of females I´m not breeding on - I forgot/didn´t have energy to think about breeding mice at one point this Spring when I had to much to worry about.
But, it´s easy to get up in number… quick…

Do you name all of them or doesn't it matter?

Sad to say. Only have 2 left. Didn't get where I wanted in my breeding. Could not find suited mice in right colors. And after I tried to mix in completely new mice and lines I got unhealthy animals with respiratory problems. And time has not been on my side this year. For now, I only have my last as company I think.
Got three boys in a hamster cage and five girls in a bigger duna cage.
If not Natalmouse counts as mice. Then I got 4 mice cages,
#7 I´m sorry.
We all had mice with respiratory problems these last years.
I lost a lot of mice 2012-2013. After that I put my mousery in "quarantine" a couple of years. During these years I didn´t sell any mice and worked on to make them stronger, also check if they were going to stay healthy. Also tried to introduce some mice from other breeders. And now I feel my mouse are healthy and strong enough. But it was hard.
I think Natalmice is mice aswell. Many do now have a Natalmouse female as company to a Mus musculus male.

Popped up a natal mouse litter so now I have 5 cages. Sone, it will be 6. Next couple of days shall my babies become separated in right gender. Se on how many that will stay for good. On how many cages it will be in the end. But they need space, so probably not too many.
I have more cages than I am using right now. But there are mice in 6 of them.
