Mouse care schedule

For a beginner, what should a day of mouse ownership contain in terms of feeding and general care?

These are the things I can think of that should be done daily:

Checking their base fodder and refilling if needed

Changing their water

Giving some sort of fresh food

Doing a health check (checking eyes, nose and teeth, listening to breathing, feeling for lumps or wounds), not necessarily all of these points every single day, but often enough to ensure that any irregularities are detected in time

Letting them out of the cage to use an exercise/play area

Based on Isabellas nice answer this can be a care sheet: (maybe something is missing?)

Daily

  • Checking their base fodder and refilling if needed

  • Changing their water

  • Giving some sort of fresh food

  • Doing a health check (checking eyes, nose and teeth, listening to breathing, feeling for lumps or wounds), not necessarily all of these points every single day, but often enough to ensure that any irregularities are detected in time

  • Letting them out of the cage to use an exercise/play area

Weekly

  • Cleaning cage
  • New litter and bedding
  • New enrichment
  • Cleaning toys/New toys
